Researchers say diets heavy in fried foods, salty snacks, and meat account for 35 percent of heart attacks globally.
Their study of 52 countries showed that people who ate a Western diet based on meat, eggs, and junk food were more likely to have major heart trouble, while those who ate more fruits and vegetables had a lower risk.


Childhood food allergies have jumped 18 percent over the past ten years.
The CDC said children with a food allergy are two to four times more likely to have asthma and other allergies.
No one knows how or why most kids outgrow it, although some remain allergic for life.

To support Asthma Foundations Australias Kids Breathe Better campaign, one-in-every six Dyson HEPA vacuum cleaners sold through Harvey Norman during October will be donated nto a childcare centre. The target is to donate half-a-million dollars worth of Dyson cleaners.

As part of the program, Asthma information packs have been sent to childcare centres nationally, including details about how centres can become accredited as asthma-friendly
