With the economy the way it is, it's nice to be able to provide this service to people.
The national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends flu shots be given annually between October and mid-November.
The CDC advises senior citizens, young children, smokers and people with asthma and diabetes among others to get flu vaccinations.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) The Federal Emergency Management Agency has changed course and now says it will assist flood victims with temporary housing if they choose to move out of their FEMA-provided mobile homes over health concerns.Previously, agency officials had said residents could move out, but depending on the amount of assistance they had received they might have to pay out of pocket.About 100 residents packed into a room at Westdale Mall on Friday night to hear FEMA officials and health experts address concerns over formaldehyde issues.I have no doubt these are the safest homes in the United States,'' said Bill Vogel, FEMA federal coordinating officer. He said the 558 homes underwent rigorous testing before coming to Iowa and all fell under the state's allowable formaldehyde level of 0.04 parts per million. However, he added that FEMA will provide retesting if requested.During Friday's meeting, some flood victims expressed concerns about bronchitis, asthma or other health conditions and were worried about staying in the FEMA homes.Vogel noted that no residents had called FEMA with those concerns until after a report by Cedar Rapids TV station KGAN found high levels of formaldehyde in 20 trailers.FEMA said retesting will start in about two weeks by a certified company.Among residents who expressed health concerns was 23-year-old Jessica Barnard. She said that she, her husband and two children are sick and would like to move from their FEMA home.Others said they were happy with FEMA's housing option.Deb Loudon lost her home to flooding in southwest Cedar Rapids and said she wonders if some health complaints aren't from working around flood debris, not from living in the trailers.I'm real happy,'' Hanson said. I came healthy and I expect to leave healthy.''
