Allergy and asthma

As I think about the world we will leave for our children, I feel even more strongly that we must preserve a clean and healthy environment for future generations. Environmental protection is also critical to our health and economic prosperity, and requires strong action in the face of polluting special interests. One of our greatest challenges is addressing climate change, which has dire potential consequences for future generations. Real action must be taken in Congress to address this threat. The actions we take to address climate change will also help reduce incidences of asthma, emphysema, acid rain, and oil spills. These actions will result in tangible environmental and public health protections, and they will also help to invigorate our economy by spurring investment in new energy technologies and reducing our dependence of foreign oil. I support moving as quickly and aggressively toward domestic, renewable, non-emitting sources of energy while supported by responsible oil and gas exploration, as quickly as possible to address this issue. That includes providing significant federal research dollars and tax incentives for new energy technologies.

I successfully supported legislation to make the first increase in fuel efficiency standards in over 30 years and to provide sweeping tax incentives for renewable and efficient technologies

'America?'
'No, Canada.'
'Like Montana?' (For some reason, it's the U.S
