Flu hotline
For information about the flu or where to get your shot, call the American Lung Association of Connecticut's statewide Flu Hotline toll free at 1-888-NO-TO-FLU (668-6358) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, through December. Flu shots are recommended for everyone and particularly those over age 50, anyone with chronic diseases such as diabetes or asthma, women who are pregnant, healthcare workers in direct patient care, children older than six months, children with a long-term health condition or someone who cares for a child under age six months. Senior Wellness
The Senior Wellness Clinic, located at 240 Stafford Ave., sponsored by Bristol Hospital and the City of Bristol Department of Aging Services, offers a variety of health programs. Programs are open to Bristol residents and/or members of the Bristol Senior Center who are at least 60 years of age.
Blood Pressure Screening - Every Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Foot Care Clinic - Call for an appointment. (Limited to those individuals who are unable to provide their own foot care due to functional disability). Donation $8.
Diabetes Screening - Call for an appointment. Donation $3.
