Cats asthma

As a child, I loved running games like Tag and Red Light, Green Light 1-2-3, but that all changed in high school. Freshman year gym was track - field. At the first class, Sister Sadist commanded us to run a mile. No warm up, no nothing, just run. The girls who had asthma okay, me were told to suck it up. 'Diva in training' that I was, I refused, choosing instead to walk the mile. I got an F. The only F of my academic career and I still stand by it with pride. Consequently, any love I might have had for the gym, running and religion evaporated



Invercargill couple John and Susan Roach have had any illusions of a better life in the deep south shattered after their car was given an impromptu paint job on Monday.

Mrs Roach said yesterday her concept of the city as a safer place to live had been shattered after she and her husband's 1995 Hyundai Sonata had four different-coloured cans of paint poured over it on Monday morning.
Suffering from empty nest syndrome after their children left home the couple, who both have health problems, shifted to Invercargill from Wairarapa in June.
Mrs Roach said she had had a fitful sleep overnight on Sunday because of asthma attacks and had been up several times during the night - the last time being about 6am. At that time the car, which was parked on the street outside her Ythan St home, was fine.
However, by 8am it was a different story.
It was such a shock just to get up and see it, she said
