Respiratory asthma

or Isaac Clair, dentistry was not always his top choice for a career path.
He always knew he wanted to be involved in medicine. As a child he had asthma and wanted to pursue studies in pulmonary medicine to help those with the same afflictions. However, while on a mission trip that took him to Costa Rica and Nicaragua during his sophomore year of college, an eye-opening experience led him to dentistry.
'I actually never wanted to be a dentist,' Clair said. 'With dentistry, I realized I could help a lot of people.'
The mission trip to Latin America allowed Clair to observe restorative operations and extractions, giving him an understanding of the profession that caught his attention.
'I thought maybe I would see what dentistry was like,' Clair said
